On the X40's display is there something lit up while it's idling? I mean is something displayed such as "Highway" or "City" Depending on what mode if it's not alerting radar/laser bands? Or is it just blank?
Thanks

The X50 has several options for display. You can set it to display "city/highway/autoscan", "c/h/a", a 'scanning dot' or nothing at all.

I have mine set on the "scanning" mode where there's a little "H", "C", or "A" and a dot that goes across the display like Kitt from Knight Rider.
I use that same one. I did just have the scanning dot but that was kind of hard to differentiate between the 3.Originally Posted by robert

I like it in that if it overheats, someone reported that it would stop scanning. Haven't had it overheat yet so not sure.Originally Posted by CLTX11
I also like it since it doesn't display much for others to see. Having "Highway" across the display didn't appeal to me, especially at night (even dimmed).
