OLDER MODEL Dual frequency RADAR RECIEVER ~ Obsolete or not?
I just received an Escort dual frequency radar receiver (patent number 4,313,216) that seems to be a more bulky older model detector. Does anyone have experience with this type of detector? Looking up the patent, I found that it can detect X and K bands, but could you relay on to me whether they are effective against most commonly used radar, or have radar technologies gone above and beyond my unit's capabilities? Any help would be appreciated <3

The older Escort ( Large black Box) and original Passport , SOLO and Escort DSP only detect X,K radar and do not detect Ka, POP or laser and are out dated. my original 1989 Escort is built like a tank and mines still work today. Escort probably still has better X,K band range then most of the new radar detectors made today, but protection is very limited as noted above.
