Don't you guys think it would make more sence to allow more vertical bars for Ka and K instead of having 2 for each and 4 for X? I could see why this is useful on the east coast, but us west of the Mississippi could use more. I mean, some troopers run dual stalker heads-I see two vertical bars of Ka and THATS IT. In this case you would have no idea as to how many there are. Maybe in the future models or possibly a revision could include a programmable feature to allow you to choose how many "bogies" you see for each band. -4 Ka 4K 0X--4Ka 2K 2X--3Ka 3K 2X-

    Just a thought. Thanks.

I agree 100%. In fact if they ever did that I would go be converted over. I LOVE expert mode on the X50.

Or better yet, have the display adjust dynamically for however many bogeys there are on each band.

    Assuming the current expert mode can display 8 threats (4 X, 2K, 2 Ka), how about displaying up to 8 threats regardless of the band? For example, 8 X, 3 X + 5 K, 3 X, 2 K, 3 Ka, etc.

That's basically what the V1 does, except that the V1 can't give a strength for each bogey detected. It would be great if Belscort could do what you are saying because it would be the absolute best of both worlds. How hard could it be? They could even give it a catchy name like Adaptive Target Tracking or something.

I agree with Kpatz again ...the dynamic idea sounds like a winner.

guess with all the X-band falsing they gave it the most bars, but I'd gladly take more K or Ka. Maybe even a user-selectable function.

that's because with two antenna they can shift the stalker to read either rear targets or front targets but they don't run both antennas at the same time....

I bet I know how to do it if I spent a year and a few $$$$, but it would run on Windows XP so reliability might be an issue. ops:

Personally I wish the X50 had a numbered strength indicator in expert mode. I believe the bel does this. If i want the bars I could use it in standard mode. I would think that if you had say X band disabled that it the detector could be programmed to use those slots for additional K or KA. It would be nice if a rep from Escort or Bel would frequent this board.
