Escort 8500 X50 - Software Version?

I just placed my order for the X-50 from radarbusters last night. I dont know what rev # it will come with but I would expect that it be a late rev with the inventory turnover they must have. I used the $25.00 gift card deal emailed to me from this forum. Thanks Roy !

Rev 3, you say? Are you sure you don't mean 6.3? I thought the latest on the S7 x50's was Rev 5 and the latest on the M4's was 6.3?

Ahhh I got bad news for ya, that rev. 3 will walk all over your rev. 5 and put it to shame. As it did put my rev. 5 to shame less than a week ago at the invitational. 6.3 6.4 has better Lidar reception. Although weaker K band Detection and better K band filtering, so take your pick. Now Rev. 3 is just more sensitive it seems all around, even Jim when asked said the Rev. 3 is more sensitive than the 6.3 and 5 rev's.

And to top all that off NMA just got his back two day's before last Saturday's Invatational, and his was a rev. 3 akward I know taking steps backwards in numbers but i'm telling you, next time I send mine in i'm asking for rev. 3 and to get rid of my rev. 5 thats how impressed I was.

I think the consensus is that the S7 (rev 5) is less sensitive on-axis but a lot more sensitive off-axis compared to the M4 (rev 6.3). Whether that's a good thing or not is personal taste.

IDK you guy's can have your 6.3 i'm demanding Rev. 3 when mine should fail and need a retune. All I have to say once again about NMA's rev. 3 is .

I don't know what Cincinnati Microwave did to that thing but it's off the hook! Props to NMA!

NMA just sent his in recently and it came back with Rev 3? Do you happen to know what firmware it had on it when he shipped it to them? I'm trying to figure out if this is an S7 or an M4 firmware.

He had rev. 5 when he sent in.

All I know is like I said, I have rev. 5 too and when my rev. 5 should take a dump in the future. I'm demanding rev 3. as he has all I can say for the last time is WOW backwards is still spelt WOW.

If anyone gets a brand new 8500 X50, please be sure to check if you get the new model with an FCC ID of QKLX5M4. You can find this on the sticker on the bottom of your X50.

If you get this "new" X50, you will have different internal hardware and possibly newer software/firmware.

Please share if you get one of these newer X50 models :!:

I finally got around to checking mine. The FCC ID# is QKLX5M4 and its ver: 6.3 So it is the latest model.
