    Default Detectors Mods??

Any of you go go gadget minded techies done any Mods to your Detecters. I was thinking of putting a small toggle (for power on/off)on the smart cord next to the Mute button. Micro-surgery. No biggie I used to do Police scanner mods years ago. (full 800mhz mods)

Well Dave, I too like to experiment. 8) I have a set up I occasionally use that has a double power cord and runs two detectors. One is a Bell that is always on and the other is hooked to an old whistler rd that is adjusted to fire a K-band signal when I trigger it. I once had a whole lot of fun driving alongside of a brand new owner of a Toyota four-runner and a V1 crazy by triggering my k-band emitter detector off and on randomly and watching him look for the "police" like crazy with his arrows...

For people who don't know how to mod a detector you can buy a bushnell sport radar gun for $90.00(k band).

Anyone done any actual PERFORMANCE mods rather than cosmetic stuff? Like tune the detector, or modify the horn antenna?

Well there is the addition of a "horn extension" to help on photoradar, as well there is the various mysterious Spectre enhancements.

As for cosmetics, I'd like an RX65 if they'd make it in black... think an RX55 case will snap on?

If I get pulled over it never fails that the officer turns his radar on and off. I think this is the cops way of telling me he can pull me over without radar.

I trust that Belscort knows better than I on their own detectors. I like to open things up and see how they work, but I dont think I'll mess with this one. For $300 and a top of the line model from Escort who's been in the business forever, I think I can trust them that they know what they're doing. My advice dont mess with it.
