    Default Strangeness with my x50

ok, I bought this detector used about a couple months ago.
It seemed to be working fine, and still seems to be working fine however this past week I've been getting a false laser alert about 30 seconds after turning on the car.

It's very strange, I will turn on the car, RD turns on, drive away, about 30 seconds to a minute later I get LASER for about 5 seconds or so then it stops and doesn't do it again. It seems to do it almost every time I get into the car and start it. What would cause this all of a sudden?

Some sort of electrical noise or interference in your electrical system. Run it in Voltage display to see if you notice any sort of spike or drop.

You can help reduce the noisy electrical system by buying one of
these. ( RFI Ferrite Choke Core ) from Radio Shack.

Before I bought one of these, every time I blew my Horn my laser would false.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am just wondering why it would just start happening now and not right from when I got it.

Possible early warning that your electrical system might take a crap in the future?

    lol, thanks a lot.

Maybe that could be added to the x50 features list?

I wonder if maybe the smart cord is messed up...I assume that could cause this too...

If this is happening in the same spot every time (ie; 100 feet from your house) make sure there isn't a little gnome hiding in the trees shooting laser and laughing at you.

It happens every time, anywhere. I checked with the voltage meter display on the x50 and it was an almost constant 13.3 and didn't notice any major change when it again said Laser.
