You'll need to send the RD into the manufacturer to get a software update, they don't let you do the updates yourself.

I would be a little leary of this so called software update.
I bought a Bel 980 a few years ago and it was "software updateable" and they never did offer any updates.
Others have posted here that they have called Bel about this and Bel admitted that the feature never implemented.
I tend to think this is just a marketing ploy.

I had a Bel Vector 970 which Bel "upgraded", but it was only upgraded to the last year of production for the Bel 970 which is now dated. The only sure way to guarantee yourself upgrades is to get a V1. Take a look at the Escort 8500. Instead of being able to upgrade that unit, consumers had to buy a new 8500 X50 to get the better performance. :?

This is one area where V1 clearly has an advantage

You have to reset it, then RX-65 displays the version for a few seconds while restarting.
Don't forget to redo your settings after that.

    You're welcome.

I don't know actual version, but I don't think that there are major updates at the last monts. What do you mean as very small detection range? What kind of radars are there Europeans (Multanova) or Americans?

You should reset your RX-65 by holding buttons "City" and "BRT" while you turn on the detector.

Go to Bel or Escorts websites they will tell you what to do. Or you can call them
