Just got my new Escort 9500i

Well today was the day that I bit the bullet. I couldn't decide if I wanted to get the Escort 9500 or go with the Valentine One. I decided to get the 9500 now and in a few months get the V1

I was a bit scared especially after reading some of the posts that stated that some of the people were having problems with the 9500 and their Satellite Radio. I figured I would get it and if I started noticing problems I could return it. So far Nooooo problems and I have it mounted a few inches from where my Sirius Antennae is on my dash. My radio hasnt cut out once and I havent noticed anything unusual with the 9500 but I will continue to watch.

I also locked out a few supermarkets and gas stations which I know for a fact are using K bands on their sliding doors. One particular Gas station I locked out will be interesting because the city LEOs often set up about a half block from there and fire radar at the oncomming traffic. it is the perfect spot because its in the bend of a curve and you can see him for the gas station. By the time you see him its too late, so i hope that by locking out the gas station I didnt lock out that whole area where he might be sitting. I'll keep you guys informed.

Sorry to ramble on, it is my first post although I have been reading the posts here for awhile. I love this sight, it is soo informative. You guys keep up the good work.

Congratz on your purchase. You got a nice spot with that locked out gas station. Keep us posted on your experiences with that LEO there. I think the verdict is still out on whether your 9500 willl lock out the LEO or not.

What you need to do is find a day when the LEO is working that corner then cut the power to the door opener. Circle around and see if you still get a lockout. that's the real test.

Heyy Will do... I'm sure that I will see them soon enough. That seems to be one of their favorite spots. They dont shoot radar that much here in the city I'm in but when they do that seems to be one of the hot spots. This is a college town....I guess they've got to make money for the city somehow
