    Default X50 Timing Detection

Right now im in New Orleans I drove from houston texas to here all yesterday from 8 to i cant remember but anyway I was woundering because i had a bunch of encounters with cops all last night driving and the way it looks is that I can pick up Texas State Troopers from like 8 + miles and city cops about 1.5, 1, 1/2 even closer. now remeber this is I45 not inside inside the city cops get to patrol the freeways here so i was wondering if cops how somthing to limit there transmit power down so u cant detect them so far ??whats really neat is that i live outside houston kinda harris county and i love detecting KA 2 plus miles on streets lights and all but for sum reason this cheveron always sets of K near my house

ANYway ??? is can cops lower there transmitting power??

it could have been another RD, but with that signal strength, i'd guess that it might have been an old x-band active jammer

I suspected a radar jammer also.
Ya like the police are not going to get a radar lock and just sit there.

    Default Power

Yes, most radar guns have the ability to turn down the power output. You will see officers using this mode mainly when they are working school zones and want limited distance of their guns.

I'm not sure how now, but wait...the day will come when police cars will have a tv-like display that will show vehicles on a scope; the system will tag ID's on all and he can then pick out which one is speeding.

    Technology isn't that far out.
