Got my Escort 9500i !!

If you look closely the Cobra actually says Crapra LOL. My 9500i (red) just arrived this afternoon. Went for a little drive with it, didn't run into any LEO's, was watching the MPH feature (pretty cool) and noticed the auto bright works good too. I'll have to get used to it and use it more before I really have any impressions, but it sure looks nice and seems built well. Looked on the bottom, build date is 39/07, the self test ramp-up seems good, I guess coming right from Escort this one is probably updated.

Congratulations! I feel the 9500I is the best RD ever made, and it will serve you well.
I love mine, and it should be such a huge difference over your old Crapra. :wink:

I just picked up my 9500i today. I traded in my Solo S2 Wireless, which I had just bought. Best Buy dropped the $50 restocking fee because their employees told me the Solo had the same range as the 8500, which is not even close to true. When I decided I was getting a corded model, I had to splurge on the 9500i, because I knew I'd be seeing it in all the car mags for the following years and I didn't want to be jealous of it. After I bought it I drove around my city and marked the most notorious speed traps. Now I just have to get used to the new detector, especially after not having one for so long. Have fun with your new toy!

very nice! i was going to get that but i decided the 8500 x50 will do the job just fine for me! i used to have a cobra too until the escort came in yesterday that i got from radar roy..

I'm having issues with Mark Location. I keep getting the warning 1 mile before, instead of .5 miles before the location when I'm traveling well under 50 mph. I have it set on Highway. It should be:
Less than 50 mph = .5 mile warning, Above 50 mph = 1 mile warning.
Any suggestions?
I'll try Auto and City after work.

Edit: I was able to get it to work correctly without making any changes. I may have been just misreading the numbers before.

Interesting, the different modes shouldn’t matter. :roll: I will have to try mine again I don’t really use it much, it seemed ok.
