Default Escort 8500 X50--- Expertmeter Dots

Hello I was just wondering if anybody noticed this......
I was looking closely at my X50 Blue Display when I was waiting at a grocery store and the X50 was putting out a K band warning. I then realized that if you look closely it actually has dots to tell you how strong the strength is. I know in normal display mode it has the blocks that get bigger and go towards the right ( like 6 or 7 blocks) but I never knew that there are actually (dots) that go upwards...6 or 7 dots that go all the way up creating a bar of full strength.......anyways just wanted to point out something. the dots are exactly at the same strengh as the the blocks .... like if there are 4 blocks in normal mode there are 4 dots going upward in expermeter mode. ( You can see this if you switch it back and forth from expertmeter mode to normal) Cool Ehh 8)

yeah pretty neat, but for my part I prefer the # (ie: X3 K6 Ka3) of the Bel RX65 display, bar graph look a bit small

Bar graph is tiny, just gotta get a little used to it and the actual sounds.

Yeah i figured that they were. I just always see ( | ) stacked. Its never been just one dot. I also would rather have the Rx65's type of expert meter that is numeric instead. I would think that Escort could easily program it to display like that.

I'm willing to bet those dots just happen to be the LEDs they use. Probably a coincidence they corrispond to the exact same number of blocks, but who knows.

I use sound, and can see the bar growing. It's not too bad if you get used to it (although I'm young with good eyes and driver a small car, could be a problem in an SUV).

I would prefer a number much more though.

You'd likely lose the multi-threat display. The RX65 can only display signal for one of each source while the X50 can display 2 K, 2 Ka, and 4 X.

I thought the Bel rx65 could display something like: KA (2) K (1) at the same time. They cant?

The numbers that the RX displays represent the signal strength, not the number of signals.

Yeah i know they're the signal strength. What I was trying to say is that I believe the Rx65 can show more than 1 threat. Isn't that right? Just like the X50 but using numbers instead of bars for strength.

It can show three threats at once, one X, one K, and one Ka
