Just got a quick question.. is there anything i can use to make my RD alert lazer ? i tryed a regular DirecTV remote but nothing... is there anything i can use besides a lazer gun ?
And how about KA is there anything i can use to that ?

Laser: Try many different remote controls. Different buttons too. Front and rear diodes. Try holding it up to a laptop computer screen on brightest setting. Try neon signs, point-blank to flourescent lights... If your camcorder has an IR illumination mode, that's worth a try too.

Ka: Cobra detector, or Whistler detector with a menu option engaged (i.e inside setup menu). Both will leak Ka in very detectable manners.

Ka POP: Cobra XRS series detector in factory default mode (VG2 detection ON). Produces reliable Ka POP alerts on my Whistler units.

I know people have said their Dish Network remote sets it off. Is there a particular button that does so reliably?
