hey ask them if rx65 had better ka detection then x50 and they told me no they both have the same detetions but everybody her says that rx65 has a better ka band detections and plus the gol test proves it to so i dont know who to belive anythoughts

Punctuation is your friend. But it depends on the situation - geography, vehicles, how LEO is set up, etc...
Of course they will say that, why would they put down their own product?
As for which has better detection... 'niether' is correct:
X50: K,Laser
RX65: Ka, X
So they are tied, its a trade-off: If you look at it from the standpoint that normally the above is where the chips fall as far as the two units detection. It all depends on whats in your area.
well ka is used in my area but iam sick of my rx65 i want to try something differnt i mean i love my rx65 it works great but i just want a new toy to play around with
Yeah, thats happens to all of us in this hobby. Toys.Originally Posted by v1dreamer

i would love the v1 but i like the featurs that the x50 gives just dont know about the ka band performance
Buy it from Escort and get a 30 day trial?
The X50's Ka band performance is virtually identical to the RX-65's Ka band performance. In the recent GOL tests the X50 had about 2dBm more sensitivity for 34.7 Ka radar compared to the RX-65, but that is probably just the normal slight manufacturing variance since all of the tested Vectors performed within 2dBm of each other as well. At least a 2dBm production tolerance is a far cry from the old days (15 to 20 years ago) of manually tuned radar horns and either conventional or GaAs diodes. Identical units back then could have as much as a 6dBm difference in sensitivity. Eeek!Originally Posted by v1dreamer
if 35.5ghz ka is used in your area you will see a dramatic increase in performance with the V1...well thats pretty much true for all bands but especially on 35.5. plus you cant go wrong with the arrows (arrows are god) unless you constantly drive by strip malls and grocery stores in your daily commute with a lot of false k-band signals then the x50 will serve you well with the spec and expert displays, plus the loud tones are boss
You cant go wrong with the X50. Yes I read all the test data. But in my real world experience the X50 is great. Yes one RD may beat it a few feet in one run or another. Bottom line is, the V1 will outperform any detector in total range. Yes I hate saying it as a Escort user for years, but its true.
Now, Im not involved in radar testing, but have ran RD for around 25 years. They all have good things and bad. Pick the one that works for u and learn to use it.
