I get a false laser whenever my RPM's are over 3500.
A bunch randomlly driving.
Sometimes when i start the car.
On cold and warm days.
Don't tell me I have to send it in?

Wasn't trying to mess with any of the hardwire install, and that's basically jibberish to me.
I think what he's trying to tell you is several people have found a similar phenomena and the cause of the problem was usually associated with some type of problem in relevance to the vehicles electrical system.
I think I even read somewhere that someone solved or lessened the problem by just looping the positive side of the power cord on their cigarette lighter through a ferrite bead to reduce electrical noise coming down the line powering their unit.
It certainly isn't going to hurt anything to try this, we have a specialty electronics shop here where I live and I can buy these for like less than a dollar, simple to install, looks like a little metal bead, just one loop of the power wire through the center of it and thats it. Radio Shack probably also sells them or I'm sure you can find them on line.
Here's some better examples of what they are and what they do...

Note that those examples are sealed into the power cords, its just fancier, a simple bead on the outside of the wire (not sealed) works just as well.
I've also heard people complain that driving into direct sunlight triggers false lasers, though I've never seen this problem with my 9500i.
I did oddly get my first false laser today on my 9500i though and I'm still not sure what caused it, definitely wasn't sunlight because it was a very overcast day and the sun wasn't even close to visible. Being a career criminal myself specializing in bank robberies and corporate extortion I have a well tuned eye for spotting road side cops so there definitely wasn't any legitimate threat source that triggered my laser alarm. Without further explanation I just wrote it off as I guess I should expect some occasional false laser reports like I do when I get false radar reports. I'd much rather have it default to safe and warn me even when it is a false than the other way around.
Super Late Edit:
I finaly discovered my laser false was due to an airport I was driving by at the time.
Look around for a lexus or an Infiniti. Those laser guided cruise controls are my enemy.Originally Posted by Esoterica

Some LED brake lights will set it off also. My SRX makes it easy to figure out where it is, because it has a shifter in the back and 2 shifters in the front. My display will tell me whether my alert is from the back or the front. Here is a horrible video(audio probably more important here anyhow) shot with my cell phone of a lady in a Lexus behind my car for about a mile giving me a laser alert with her Lexus. At the time of this video, I had never had this alert from a Lexus before, only Infiniti's. She was picking her nose the whole time, no kidding.Originally Posted by Esoterica

I don't think you have a future as a film producer, good thing you have that part time job at Walmart.
Everyone starts somewhere. Don't count me out. Give me a break. I was shooting over my shoulder with my cell phone while driving.Originally Posted by Esoterica
