Brand New 9500i to be updated and THANKS

I received my new 9500i last night (free from Sharper Image thanks to Rewards on my corporate card!) and I have already packaged it up and sent it out to Escort for the ramp up fix and any other "updates to latest specs".

Does anyone know what date code resulted in the improvements from the first GOL test of the 9500i where it sucked to the second GOL test where it did really well? What was the date code of the 9500is used in the test?Mine is a 3207.

I'm curious if I'll get the mystery "antenna" update that some have mentioned and if that is the cause of the improvement.

The one used in the GOL test was around 2207. Congratulations your going to love it, its allot of fun.

I may be mistaken but I think they improved the ramp up, and sensitivity, of X and K bands. Don't know of any antenna "tweaks". I have a 4707 build unit that has excellent X and K ramp up and sensitivity. Ka band ramp up is the "speedy gonzales" type. Does get your attention though. All in all, a very solid unit.

4007 and above have all the fixes. 2207 was the GOL August test (last test).

I have 3907 and the ramp up is great, i wish beltronics shared the same ramp up.

I received my 9500i back from Escort yesterday to get the ramp up issue taken care of. Seems to work well now. The card that was inclosed said "installed all updates and calibrated unit".
