Mirror mount for Bel Rx-65 and Escort X50

This mount is for Beltronics rx65 and Escort 8500 X50. I recieved my mount today and took some pics. On the drive it was pretty secure.

Is the mirror mount adjustable? I'm still in the market for a new detector, and I'm saving for a Bel or Escort at this point. I have a Ford Focus, which has as 3/4" tube for the mirror mount, similar to the Z. My mirror tube does angle downwards a bit more, so if I were to purchase that mount, the angle between the mirror mount and the Escort mount would be a bit more *acute* (< 90 degrees) than what is shown there.

Yes its adjustable. You actualy take your windshield mount pop out the suction cups and withe supplied hardware you atach it to the Z mount which clamps to the mirror post.

Anything is better than suction cups but just wondering if that mount is to high ???
I always hear that it should be mounted as low as possible

If you just have a RD and no other counter measures. Yes mount it high. If Laser is not big in your area and you have at least veil and laser shield on plate if PLATE is NEEDED, you should be just fine. You will be able to tell a slight difference in radar detection range. Just a little bit better high.
