How long did it take somebody to do something with the USB....simply pathetic. Belscort doesn't even pay Jim and he is doing all their work for them.Originally Posted by CJR238

How long has it taken Valentine to produce an undetectable V1? Oops, they haven't done that yet...simply pathetic. :wink:Originally Posted by <<JAZZY>>
But Valentine Research doesn't make promises it can't keep like Escotronics.Originally Posted by MEM-TEK

Full 360 degree radar protection...they fail to mention a rear radar antenna for some reason.
Upgradeable to the latest threat...yea, if you sell your old Belscort on ebay and buy a new one from them.
Full POP protection...they forgot to mention that it can't detect 67ms K band POP.
Truelock will warn you of a new or different signal in the same location...assuming the cop isn't shooting K band in one of the eight blocks of K band you blocked out. You aren't going to worry about your Escort 9500i not alerting to actual police radar 12.5% of the time are you?
That's like playing Russian Roulette with one live round in a gun that holds eight.
A USB port for a national database for speedtraps and red light cameras that you can update...I don't seem to recall anybody putting up a link for that database. Is it just me or has Escort removed any mention of the USB from their description of the Escort 9500i.
On top of that, Escort and Beltronics both have reviews posted by Radartestes.com and Craig Peterson on their website so that should tell you something about the integrity of their companies.
I doubt he did these "for them", guessing it was more like for us.Originally Posted by <<JAZZY>>
You make it sound like the 9500i will not work with out USB support, I don't see where its been such a big issue for anyone but you and you don't even use a 9500i, so what's the motivation behind you having so much personal concern about it?
Replace "9500i" with "V1" and "USB support" with "arrows" and we have your exact argument!Originally Posted by Esoterica
Nice try, not even close though, the lack of USB support will never cause a in accurate reading to the end user like the "arrows" do. There's nothing flawed in the design, they just haven't released software that is not required in any way to use the 9500i, the software is only intended to be used for software updates. There's only been a single software update since the 9500i came out and this only affected the first few months of production, and that was only because some users didn't like the way the thing "ramped up", some like it that way. All 9500i's sold after that have already had the fix so there have been no software up dates since then, and thus no real requirement to even need the USB port operational.Originally Posted by Jabomb9
Jazzy dose kinda have a point though, belscort will make false claims about their RD's the most common one being ''Complete VG2 protection'' even though it doesn't matter, I could care less if my RD was RDD proof or not but if it's not, don't lie about it
Belscort has made some amazing, good preforming RD's though my 5 year old bel 795 that I use still gives me good protection against I/O and C/O radar, just not laser.
Not like you really need laser on your RD. It's a pointless feature. You see LASER, you're tailing a Lexus or getting a ticket.Originally Posted by dodgesrt4driver
I think JAZZY has a point, Belscort does have a problem with telling the truth....sometimes they do out right lie about what they can really do...never had that problem with V1...just my thoughts!
