    Default Escort Solo S2

I was wondering whether anyone has ever taken apart a Solo S2...I found one to buy that doesn't power on and I was wondering that when I get it whether it could just be a loose wire or something or whether it could be something big. Someone tell me the worst thing that could be wrong with the detector. I know it was taken good care of.:?
    Any thoughts???

it could be that somethings burned out.

its runs off battery and cig lighter power so if the battery doesnt work you could try the cig lighter......

if both dont work then i would guess its something to do with the power supply inside the detector, it could be a loose wire, or some chip of some sort.

i dont know what the most expensive bit inside the detector is!

i think jimbonzzz would probibly know.....

I've seen k-band at 4 miles with an S2...but at times I felt like it was slower to respond than my Bel 985 so I switched back to the 985. Replacing batteries sucked too...

In my opinion all cordless detectors are junk and the reason why I say this is because when ever you are using a cordless detector you will lose at least %20 of radar range and in the radar wars you need all the range you can get and for this reason along I will never own a cordless detector.
