I was wondering what the better revision # is on the "original" Escort 8500? Is it the rev 13 or 15 and why? Thanks

I am curious about this to. Mine is used so I do not know the age for it, but I have the rev 15.
I now have a rev 15 also. Only cost me $50 which I thought was a deal.
How can you determine the rev number?Originally Posted by proudNMAmember
Since you got no real answers i will poke a stab at it. My guess is that the different Rev#'s on the old 8500 (i have one) was only to help prevent certain service issues, there wasn’t any major changes that were needed.
I sent my old 8500 to be fixed/updated and not much was done internally just some recalibrating and an update. I sent it back for over heating and service required.
So yours overheated and "Service Required" came up on the display? I have had "Service Required" come up on a couple of my rds before.
