new X50

Hi all, I'm just a newbie here but anyway I read this website since like a year now.

I just want to tell that I got a Rx65 red last week and it looks really nice, but I really didnt like how it sounds, the alert tones... the x alert makes me laugh when it sounds.. and the guys voice didnt like it neither.. so I bought the x50 blue last friday and getting it tomorrow, blue because it goes along with the interior of my car, and of course planning to return the beltronics one. I think that i dont need the voice alert, the ku band and the extras that the rx65 has, like also the sws... I learned that in this website and in my personal experience.

The radar detector that I had before when I had absolutely no info about radar detectors was a cobra xrs9930 bought on ebay lol, actually it saved me a couple of times, and when i was in orlando i got a sws for an ambulance and it was kind of cool.. then i learned more about radar detectors, this website helps a lot.. and i got the 9500i blue and I really liked it, but sooo expensive.. so I returned it.. I'm just a student so may be a time later I'll buy it for sure.. may be, they will come by the time with a radar detector with gps and 100% undetectable like the sti, both combined when I a wanna buy it..
If escort and beltronics have the same owners they should come up with this detector... but i guess it will be double $$$$$...

Right here where i live in south florida leo's only use radar guns, k and ka. so thats good, but now I'm looking lots of undercover police officers, i got pulled over last sunday by one of them, it never crossed my mind that the car next to me was a cop, and i was going 60 mpg in a 35 speed limit, i was going late to work, but lucky me, he just told me to go slower and left. but I was afraid at a point because I was going almost double speed limit, but may be because he didnt get me shot with his radar gun, didnt have the proof that I was going that fast...

So I dont know but I think beltronics should change the alert tones and the guys voice.. or at least give some alert tone options so we can choose what alert sound we want, like different ringtones.. that will be cool i guess.. but i'm sure the x50 is a great detector so im a cool about it, and hopefully my next radar detector will be the 9500i and will be using the programs of the professor here lol.

Ya, the voice alert of the Bel's is pretty scary, sounds like a chilled molester.
I definitely prefer the Escort tones and the female voice alert on the 9500I.
