    Default My X50 display w/pics

I finally got the pics posted. I have to thank this forum since I got all the info on this from other members who took the time to share. Thanks

It might be easier to use an Escort concealed display to start with, but this is what I had to work with. An old VCR worked perfectly, nice matte black finish. I did run a 8 gauge power wire from the battery to a splitter under the dash for my power supply. All connections are soldered and shrink wrapped.
X50 is just at the bottom of the tint strip and behind the dots. It is squared side to side and about 3 degrees down tilt, my own test say this is what works best with this detector in this vehicle.
I mounted the decal on the back of the plate since I didn't want it to say Escort on my dash.

Nice work! It looks like the remote LEDs and mute button are very conveniently located in the dash.

Wasn't there enough room to mount it horizontal with the Sticker on the front to look cleaner?

There was enough room, barely, I just didnt want the sticker saying Escort when I am trying to stealth it a little. LOL, trust me, I sat in the truck many times trying to figure out how I wanted it.

I also decided to do without the Escort decal for stealthiness. Also, I don't think I'm going to forget what the light and button is for.

do you find the flashing alert or even the power light to be too bright? It was driving me nuts, and mine was low, so i dimmed the lights.
