    Default got the x50 plug in with a rx65 beltronics plug is that ok

    hi i got my x50 plug in with a beltronics rx65 cord does it matter that the cord is differnt, would this affect the range on my x50 or no.

    No problem whatsoever. The Bel and Escort Smartcords, remote hardwire Smartcords, and hardwire power cords are electronically identical except for any differences in the glowing LED colors.

    thanks mem tek you are a big help i didnt know for sure because when i bought my x50 from best buy the guy told me that it wouldnt work because the pins inside are differnt and then i said well isnt bel and escort the same company and he told me no their not lol i could tell this guy didnt know anything about rds

    Another flamingly idiotic salesman at work to "serve your needs." I hate salesmen who wing it when they don't know the answer to a specific question. When I worked retail years ago, if I didn't know the answer then I would tell the customer, "Lets look at the instruction manual and see if we can find the answer." Most of the time me and the customer found the answer. Nearly 100% of the time the customer came back as a repeat customer because the customer could trust me to not spew happy horse $h!t if I didn't know the answers to their questions.

    Salesmen these days are pathetic! I could walk into any retail store tomorrow and roast most of their behinds in front of their customers.

    I also got the same thing from tweeters when I asked if Bel and Escort were the same company

    I almost always know more in the electronics section of most stores than the salesman there.
