Well if theres an LEO using K band in a K band falsing area, it's hard to tell theres a LEO there I suppose, the only give away would be the signal strength. But even in STD mode, when you receive the K band alert you will receive a blip of Ka, alerting you something is probably wrong. The only situation I can assume expert mode would be any good is:

    A) A leo is using X band in a K band falsing area (band priority)

    B) A leo is using K band in a K band falsing area (seems as nothing is wrong)

Once some band outside of the usual is picked up the radar detector will let you know unless it falls in the above.

If you are sure that in that area there is only 1 K band(false) door opener and you get another K band source, mostlikely it will be LEO. Overtime, you will know if there is only one source or more as you keep passing that area.

Thats correct, but for the X65 it only shows 1 threat per band. So this would only be an indicator for the Escort X50.

I have picked up a k band signal from a speed sign then got a ka signal on and off then full on. there was a state trooper shooting radar hidden behind the large speed sign. Expert mode rocks

Ya. I haven't switched mine off of it except to switch to frequency mode for a short time.
