Default Escort 8500 x50B locking up on Xband...why?

So I've owned a Escort 8500 X50 B since approx late January 08. After a month or two of having it, it started locking up on an X-band frequency. It's a complete malfunction, as it goes from 0 warning to full alert and is locked on the X-band alert until the unit is powered down and restarted.

It's been back to Escort 3 times to try to find the cause.
    1 - Repaired antenna
    2 - Replaced antenna
    3 - Replaced the board

Now we're going to take a new one off the shelf and see if it continues.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
Is it possible its my cell phone? Or the GPS function of my cell phone?
I havent located any common situations to relate it to, in fact there have been times when I was on a call when it locked up.

should've added that. I have already. But I've obviously always had my phone on me.

The cell phone was setting off X band only with full alert. The X50 wasn’t locking X band but that’s because he was turning the phone/blue-tooth off.

So it was a bluetooth issue setting it off on X? Or bluetooth is just what kept it LOCKED on the X band? I know I have a setting for "Auto Pair" so that if I turn on a bluetooth hands free device it automatically pairs with my phone. I'd assume that means the phone is always looking for it. I wonder if shutting that AUTO setting off would do it? Would REALLY be interested in seeing this guys conversation or speaking to him as well. What was the phone he was using by the way?

I don’t have the final conclusion whether it was the specific phone or Bluetooth. I don’t believe the guy who had the problem is on RD.net anymore.

****. do you have the thread by any chance?
if it happens with the new 8500 unit and we can't resolve the problem (i.e. - locate and illiminate the cause) I'm going to try the new 9500 unit.
