    Default Service required

I have been reading a number of posts lately regarding self-calibration and service required messages popping up on the X50. I never thought it would happen to me

It did!!!!!!!!! So, pissed off! I LOVED the X50! I told everybody about how wonderful of a detector it is(was). And now it goes and does this after not even 6 months!!!! - I have lost faith in Escort

    Anybody else experienced this?

Yes, but mine was 2 months out of warranty so I paid to have it fixed and sold it. I am getting a V1 in the next month or two. The worst part of owning an x50 is the customer service you receive when you have a question about repairs, etc.

    Default yeah well...

Luckily, I purchased the 2 year plan with the detector from Best Buy. I brought it back there and they exchanged it on the spot for a brand new BLUE display one. I didn't even have to pay extra 8) The customer service person just thought the price had gone up! I wasn't going to be like, "Mam, I think I owe you an extra $30 because Escort decided that blue LED's cost that much more."

So, anyways, brand new blue 8500 X50 rev 5 with a 1.5 year warranty still on it from Best Buy

Is there a specific version number that this is only happening to or just random?

I bought a Bel from Roy in may and 2 months later it said service required. I sent it in and they said it was find. They upgraded the software and reset it. It was back to normal. Even seemed to detect better.
