I sent my X50 blue, Rev 5 in a few days ago. I first called Escort and got a lady, told her my velcro pulled off the serial number, she said no problem, we will still service it. I am thinking hell yeah, I didn't think they would do it. I bought it off Ebay 4 yrs ago.
So I send it, packed perfectly, 11 dollars to ship it, they told me 60 to fix it. It was freezing in the heat. Headed to Colo. 21 hr. round trip next week, so I'm anxious. Can't explain how naked I felt just going to and from the post office, so I took the wifes red X50 till I got it back.
4 days later I get a letter from Escort saying we need more info, they had my cell # and said WE TRIED TO CALL YOU. So I call and get DAVID, he is now my best friend. He says we can't fix it with no number. I tell him I called and asked about this and the lady I talked to says no problem. He says, I know who you are talking about.
Long story short, I got the purchase order where I bought it from Ebay. Talked and faxed back and forth with David many times. Took longer than expected, but with his help, I will have a refurb X50 blue, Rev 5. hopefully like new with a new serial number applied by Escort. THANKS DAVID.
