Are they still coming out with a update for the 9500i or is escort just going to capitalize on us as a consumer by coming out with the 9500ix! Does anyone know of an update or some software coming out from Escort?

I thought that the $129 update was only going to be for the ix not the i? Does that Commander Beta work that is posted on here work? I don't want to put that on my 9500i and have it kill out on me

It’s an upgrade to the 9500I making it an xi with all its features, plus a limited subscription to the speed and red light camera database directly from Escort so there most likely wont be any glitches like the one here.

If you need the data base all the other bonuses you get are just pluses.

I thought you could upgrade your 9500i to the xi for that $129 fee. I'll send in my 8500. See what they can do

The software you are talking about only shows the locations, but does not have any way to alter any of the data.

Call Escort for the details, but around the end of August begining of september you can send your 9500I in to be upgraded to a xi.

Pretty sweet update if you ask me, not just a Rev#. Hopefully the cost may be less too.
