Current V1 user (v1.8 / 3.826). Looking to switch back to Escort as mentioned in a previous thread of mine.
Anyway, was looking at the 08/2007 results from GOL; I realize that real-world traffic does not operate with radar-attenuating foam, but the x50's dramatically reduced performance on most of Ka is worrisome to me.
The odd part is that according to Aaron at Escort, the 9500i and the 8500 x50 vary only in features, not performance. I care mostly about the performance and could go either way with GPS functionality in a detector.
Any thoughts as to why the August '07 GOL numbers are what they are? Is there really that notable of a Ka difference between the 9500i and the x50 in practice?
