I don't think the 9500i is being discontinued. Look at their website, they only offer the 9500i ONLY in red now, and the 9500ix is ONLY blue. Am I just seeing things, or is this correct?

thats correct....when I spoke to Cust. Service and brought up this same point...the rep told me that they still had both on the website, but when he came back he said..."oh, I guess you're right. they i is only sold in Red now."

I’m going to bet, as stated above there will be some software for the 9500I and all this freaking out about the ix will be for naught.
Essentially Escort never promised anything specific with the 9500I, just that the USB will have some use in the future.

They need to hurry up and release it, I've been playing around with a V1 since I don't really use RD in the city anymore and the V1 is winning my vote so far. However, this software could sway my decision and I would sell the V1 instead. Dang it this just made my decision a lot harder.
