When in Expert mode, and receiving more than 1 frequency does the ix announce "Multiple frequency's detected"?
Also does it have the arrows the ci has for cameras?

It's time to upgrade to the CI
This auto learn feature is probably the greatest feature EVER. I can run around in highway mode with none of the distractions. And if friends are in the car just throw it on auto no x when around shopping areas that haven't been stored, or if it's in a new area.
I've had the chance to pay with my IX for about 10 days now. First of all, the autolearn is cool. It will lock out a false (bad???) after three passes. The screen says " Stored" when it locks it out. Sorta like an automatic Truelock (but I dont want to get into that debate). Anyway, YES, the arrows DO in fact point on a "8" axis basis where the speed or redlight cams are. It actually rotates around if you are passing it on a parallel basis and not going directly through that particular intersection. It is the exact same as the Ci except it is portable from car to car, does not have to be installed (yet is not secret like the Ci). Overall, a better unit than the Ci simply because of the portability.
Also, I have been using "HighwayNoX " mode and its great. No falses at ALL since in IL they use either K, Ka or Lidar. Very little Vascar and some airplanes across the plains!! My V-1 never stops falsing in the City and I do love that unit, BUT gotta say..........OK, here we go again, it ( 9500iX) is BETTER than my V-1. How?? Less falsing, just as good range (ran em both together with Eccosorb) and is so damn user friendly, you'd have to be "stupid" not to be able to plug and play this unit. Plus, the IX is updateable on line, a BIG plus!! Sorry, but I own BOTH and in My opinion, the 9500iX is better. This is all subjective until GOL gets a chance to get together on this one which I am sure is in the works.
I have a few questions: What does the GPS filter ON versus off do and what are advantages??? Its on the top front left of the detector. Also, my 9500 i announces that GPS is received, BUT the iX does not do this??? Wonder why???

The GPS filter on/off allows you to turn off all the GPS dependant features with one press.
The GPS on/off button i found to work best for those who want to use TrueLock in a "High Risk" area when driving responsibly, than just turning off the GPS filter when driving aggressively in that areaallowing all alerts just like a regular RD.
GPS Filter On / Off: If you turn it off, it's like driving without true lock, and the speed camera databases. The only real reason I ever found for the feature, was during a GoL test.
Highway NoX is an interesting feature, and it's one I would welcome for the CI.
Although I suppose Auto NoX does the same thing as long as you are traveling above 45MPH.
I'd like to see some pics of your eccosorb setup. Might give GoL some ideas for the future.
I can't wait to test the ix. I think it will hang with the V1, but just from my preliminary off the cuff testing the CI is dominating the V1 on X Band, and holds a marginal lead on K band. I hope to sniff out some Ka this weekend.
FYI - it doesnt shut off ALL GPS functions...because your unit will still display your speed via GPS tracking
