    Default Question about the X50

I just bought an 8500 X50.. I got a really nice price. 260 from a retail store, brand new.. so I figured why not =p. Anyways my question is, the way my windshield curve goes, the X50 is pointed up in the air at a little incline.. is this a problem? Should I level it out more? Also, are there some settings I should change when I first get it? Is POP detection automatically on? Should I move right away to expert mode?

    Thanks a lot guys

You have to bend the windshield mount in order to get it straight.
POP comes turned off, to turn it on or change any other setting hold the two buttons on top along with the mute button till it changes to custom settings mode.

does anyone else's X50 cant slightly to the right? I mean it's perfectly level but i cant straighten it out horizontally. It's off center to the point where it's noticeable. Any suggestions?

i am always so anal about the position of my radar!

it always takes me 5 mins to re allign the detector when the suction cups are taken out

Mine too, thats because the windshields are curvy, i cant find something to straighten it out.

Mine does, its smack dab in the middle, we have the same windshield pretty much.

If you wiggle the RD you can tell its a little loose where it connects into the mount. Ive never really tried anything cause it detects good enough.
