If you were stopped, waiting at the light, that, I think, is about the usual distance (
reasonable? I honestly don't know - i.e. look at the hypothetical scenario of what would happen if you decided to book-it from a hole-shot out of the light, and the enforcer just happens to crest the curve or come around the corner....
) to have first picked up the signal, given my own experiences.
When I'm moving - especially when my road-speed is in-excess of the low-speed cut-off on "Auto" mode - K-band sensitivity goes way up. Again, this is from my personal experience, with two of my local townships *very* active on K-band, both mobile and stationary, and with both I/O and C/O usage.
This brings me to another thought - I actually wonder that, perhaps, for my area/usage, it might not benefit me more to use "City" mode, instead.
