    Default X50 K Band issue?

Lately K band alerts on my X50 are having what seems to be some kind of ramp up problem. Twice this week K band on a legitimate source went from basically no alert to full bar, not much warning, and I am 99% sure it was not I/O either time b/c there was a lot of traffic.

Once was on the interstate, I came over the crest if a small hill and he was coming in the other direction, probably both of us were going 70 (there was traffic). X50 at the top of the small hill gets like 1 blip, then goes full bar.

2nd time I was on a surface street and he was facing me in a turning lane behind some other traffic. Again as I got close I got 1 blip then full bar.

I have the unit mounted high in the tint. I did a factory reset last night so maybe that will help, but this concerns me b/c I thought the X50 was supposed to be killer on K (I just bought the unit from BB in January). Although it could be b/c of the small hill in the 1st scenario, and in the 2nd scenario the officer was right behind another vehicle turning, but still...

What kind of X50 do you have? Did you just recently buy it from escort? If so you probably have rev. 6, witch uses the same ramp up as the 9500i. The quick ramp up can sometimes give the illusion that you're not detecting it as well.

X2, however i believe he’s saying it recently changed and seemed fine before. The newer X50's have the same fast ramp up of the 9500i, particularly fast the radar is fast approaching.

It sucks, I'm going to have to get used to switching from a Rev. 5 X50 to a 9500i ramp up. The extra sensitivity and the truelock's worth it I guess though.

I hate it as well. However it has saved me a few times because of its aggressiveness. Plus it’s much easer to get use to on a 9500I because it’s so quiet.
