Re: 9500ci display question
I think it can... When mine arrived the lens was almost falling off, and all I had to do was just snap it back on.

From pics it looks as though it has a blue tint to it, are the LEDs behind it white or blue?
I noticed that the Bell STiR has a reddish tint and was wondering if the lenses could be swapped to give the 9500ci a red hue to better match my orange guages? That blue will stick out like a sore thumb
I think it can be removed, but I've never tried. There definitely is a blue cover on it, but I also think the LEDs themselves are blue.

Re: 9500ci display question
The blue lens on my 9500I appears to be pretty dark, im assuming the LED's are a white/blue color because its so intense behind the blue lens.

Re: 9500ci display question
The LEDs are the same color as the display covers. The display cover simply snaps in place along all of its edges. Likewise the rear cover simply snaps on as well. Personally I would prefer the STi-R's red display with my 9500ci. I wonder if I can purchase the STi-R red display assembly for use with my 9500ci. :)

That would be a great way to go! I'm just not liking the idea of the blue for where I would be putting it. Red or orange blends much better into the cockpit of most cars, the blue just kills the stealthiness. ;)
Anyone with both or knows someone with the other should swap lenses at least an see what it looks like!
Re: 9500ci display question
won't work. the STi-r display doesn't have the same features in the display and it sits there at boot up.
also the display has long pause at start due to the "scroll" of the ci on startup.
the lens does come off, so you can use the flush mount lens.
haven't pulled it off though to look underneath..
Re: 9500ci display question
I'm curious to know what the 9500ci display looks like with the Sti-R lens on it if it fits. Would be a great solution once parts are available for replacement if you want a different color.

Well go to the color charts back in grade school...............red leds with a blue lens........would produce I forgot the color but you get the idea or a muted color of the mix.
