    Default Mounting Escort in In my grill

    Mistake in tittle , I meant mounting escort in my car grill :P

    anyhow

    In my country we dont have Lazer band, only Ka and K

    They dont use Guns , only fix cameras and moveable multanova

    So is it a good idea to mount it in grill , the KA and K range will be more ?

    A window mounted unit do not mount in the grill. If you intend to do a grill mounting then get a remote unit, escort makes a few, if you have the money the 9500ci is the way to go.

    Yes i meant remote unit , will it help in increasing range beside it makes it hidden ?

    The thing to do is try to have the antenna exposed as much as possible with a good view of the road, do not mount it behind solid plastic, the more open the better.

    I had tested the 9500i but with holding it outside the car

    arround 100 meters detecting range increased

    but not sure with remote unit how it will act

    I think there still is a language gap here.

    DON'T mount the 9500i in the car grill. (Remote or no Remote).

    Only mount the 9500ci in the car grill (very different unit).

    I have my SR7 radar receiver antenna mounted in the grill. It seems to be working fine. but make sure it's level. For some reason that had an effect on my performance until I got it fixed.
