Default 9500ci - KPH bug?!

Hello my 9500ci brothers.

I never use SpeedDisplay, however few days ago turned it on for fun. What an unpleasant surprise I've got! SpeedDisplay in KPH shows completely BS! 4KPH and a second later 253KPH or 89KPH or 45KPH, whatever - and you should know I were cruising for example 50kmph. I've notice few times that while accelerate, speed at the display diminished and vice versa - when brake, SpeedDisplay showed speed boost.

Interesting is, that in MPH everything's OK, works perfectly with no mistakes, so I believe GPS module is efficient and there is a software problem.

I don't need SpeedDisplay for everyday driving. I could even recount MPH for KPH in my mind onboard if I need that kind of utility - no problem. But the question is - when in KPH mode, are AutoSensitivity and other GPS stuff work correctly?

TrueLock/AutoLock seems to operate right.

Can you check this KPH bug out at your units, please?

...Oh, don't know if it matters, but I'm after 1.0 software update.

I'm still using my 9500ci as it came from the factory -- haven't updated it yet. Tomorrow when I go to town I will try it with its speed setting on KPH and see what happens. It works perfectly in MPH mode though.

-

How often does this happen?

I've used my Cheetah GPS-Mirror for going on 5 months, now, and I've only noticed this rather strange kind of behavior maybe a handful of times.

I think it has something to do with whether or not the GPS sats. can properly "see" your device.

Allways and never. Problems are only when switched to KPH. When units are MPH all works just fine.

My GPS module sees satellites perfectly! When I set prefferences to MPH everything's OK. TrueLock/AutoLock works superbly also and no matter what units are on.

Today noticed that MarkLocations show BS on display too. I mean Marked Location gives an alert from correct distance, but again - display BullS...ing me in KPH. Sometimes it looks like almost random numbers, for example "124m6". And again - in MPH everithing's OK. What a freak!

Escort knows of the problem, they just not that concerned with it. Its with all 9500ci from what we have seen. Possibly only happens to units updated to 1.0 ? Someone here stated they had no issue so possibly they have not updated?
