Do it before the warranty runs out, assuming you have a warranty. That detector is going to make you want to change your name if you wait or do not have a warranty. Can I suggest "V1 Stallion" as your next name?

I dont know how loud your alls humming sound is but I have to get my ear up against it to hear anything....it just sounds like something is on or running ....so I think mine may be normal because why would the detector wait 9 months to do a self cal...? :?

When there was noise around i had to put my ear like 8 inches of it to hear it. When there was no noise around ( engine shutted off) i would hear it even when it was on the windshield. I didnt received their call but ill keep you posted.
