Default To Escort The Ultimate RD

Well I must say that the 9500CI is SO CLOSE to being the perfect RD. The only thing missing is improved audio ramp up. Now as far as a dash mount perfect RD. I ask for the following:

    Magnesium case
    Sensitivity like the STI R/9500CI
ramp up like the SR7 and X50
Internet based update ability (like the 9500CI)
    GPS function to control falses

I will be waiting for this RD anxiously
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

Escort has EVERYTHING at their disposal to create that perfect detector, but do that they will not.

I would love to see the Windshield-mount unit you described...

Then release no more units after that... just 'tweak' the units out there (unless a new threat is out there that MUST be dealt with). Then in another 3/4years, remake that unit, with arrows.

    Not speaking for him: BUT:

I think he is saying that all the tools they have at their disposal, its what they should make. Because basically they have everything out and being used that he asked for, he is just saying: COMBINE IT INTO ONE BABY!

So in other words they can totally do what he is asking with what they already have done.

The ultimate RD for a true enthusiast would have an RF gain adjustment. Not only would that help with testing scenarios, but also for sorting out multiple close bogeys/falses, and bringing down the sensitivity in an urban area, where you really don't care what is going on around the corner, three streets over, two miles ahead.

Leave the useless laser detection off and we can get all these new features without having to pay extra.

    I will make it!
I will take a new CI, put the GPS on top of the antenna housing and stick the control box at the bottom.
It will be one big RD, but it will be window mounted and portable.

Maybe i will stick the jammers on it too and sell it for $1800.

    Wish list? I'm in.

    We ask for the following:

    - Magnesium case
    - Sensitivity like the STI R/9500CI
    - ramp up like the SR7 and X50
    - Internet based update ability (like the 9500CI)
    - GPS function to control falses

    - arrows?

    - Narrow Ka (Superwide Ka is behind the times already)
    - Ku - just in case
    - Two displays (or one with two lines) - I wolud love to see in one time frequency and signal strength
    - possibility of inscribeing any location by user using latitude and longitude (by the agency of PC?)
    - AutoVolume & AutoMute - verry useful features for me

    Who next?

I also want my 9500ci to have the selectable Ka band segments like the STi-R has. I have three places around town where I have Ka band false alerts at 35.9XX GHz and could totally solve this problem if I could turn off segment 10.
