    Default 9500i for $225 - Worth It?

As a Best Buy employee, I get half off Escort radar detectors. Should I drop $225 on the 9500i? I know it's normally 450. I have a Whistler XTR690 Rev B at the moment, could probably sell it for $100. What do you think?

Heck yeah. Solid unit, and they should be getting the IX in very soon as well.

Twan: If BB doesn't currently have the 9500ix, you could get the 9500i at your discount price ($225) and then upgrade it to the 9500ix for $130.

    $225 + $130 = $355

Even going this route, it's still a heck of alot cheaper than $499 for the 9500ix.

Get it, I used to work for BBY, I left because of school. I was mad because earlier this year, they didnt have the accomodation, I had to buy it instore for 300. 225>300>450.

I would wait until BB gets the ix and buy that as half price.

$225 is actually below cost of manufacture.
