    Default 9500ix great Ka performance!

I had two impressive Ka encounters today with my ix.

first encounter 34.7; I picked up a Leo from about a half mile, with a huge concrete overpass between us! He was about 1/4 mile from the base on one side (shooting into the base of the hill, not up the hill and into the air) and my ix picked him up about 1/4 mile before I got to the base on my side. Before I even started up the hill the ix was adamant that there was a LEO!

The second 33.8; was about 1/8 mile from a curve on the interstate, but the LEO was 1.4 miles up the road on the straight that followed the curve.

Are you utilizing the GPS lockout on the detector, or are you just using it like a regular detector?

Yes, I use the GPS and I have complained about 2 LEO lockouts in another thread. But Ka band is not affected by the GPS features.

    Great performance!

Good performance/sensitivity is not always in 2mi range its the type of scenario. I have had a tone of sweet 1/4mi saves k & KA.

Cool Re: 9500ix great Ka performance!

I got the LEO (By the way, why you guys call police as "LEO"?) 1 mile DOWN HILL, That's right, I was down hill and I got this S.O.B. Ka band. This was at the Highway 1 from Santa Cruz to San Francisco (You guys watch out there. There is ALWAYS some LEO in that area.) I slowed down and my friends were so surprise that they gonna buy one too! And I was fast probably 80mph the limit there is 45mph.
