Default Need Opinion on CI antenna

Guys I wanted to get some opinions, I have an LI heads installed in my civic lower bumper (open area). I have some space right behind one of the LI heads that I can mount a CI antenna, since there is cross hatched grill area there. I wanted to know do you think the LI head would block the antenna, I know the LI's head is tiny do you think it would block it?

I run a front plate so mounting in the middle of the heads is not an option. I can move the LI head slightly but room is limited, because it would be close to the edge.

Can you post a photo of the LI head and where you are thinking of mounting the 9500ci antenna?

If you look at this (pic courtesy from Airmoore) He has his Blinder heads installed where my LI heads are. I drew a retangle in front of the right head to show where I would put the antenna, right behind head.

I was thinking of that too. Just might be hard to get drill in there to make some pilot holes, hard to see but there are black cross grill pieces in there.

Anyone, know where to get stubby (short) drill bits?

Man you are so reading my mind. I was thinking the same thing.

Did you use the body tape or the exterior tape that looks very similar to it?

I gamma corrected your photos and notice that the antenna is mounted with the serial number sticker side up, but that the antenna itself is pointed downward. Since the 9500ci antenna features a strong downward flare for its horn, what you really want to do is to flip the antenna over so that the serial number sticker is on the bottom side. It appears that at present the antenna is pointing approximately 4 degrees downward. Since the antenna horns flare downward at 8 degrees, if you flip the antenna over then the result will be almost perfectly neutral flared antenna horns. I had to do the same on my car and the results are splendid.

Have you noticed a difference? Also, say for instance he flips it and use mounting tape on the sticker, and you have to remove the antenna then wouldn't the serial sticker come off with the mounting tape?

I have definitely noticed a difference. Controlling the vertical direction of the horn flare is key. There is also enough room for almost 1/5" wide of double-stick tape starting from the front of the antenna before the tape would start to cover up part of the serial number sticker.
