Bushnell radar gun came in the mail today so I called a friend over to do some tests. Tested my old cobra XRS 9430, beltronics 795 , Rev. 5 X50 and my 9500ix. The X50 and the 9500ix detected the I/O K bursts well over 1500ft (the maximum range on the bushnell) around a curve the 9500ix was picking up the burst a good 500-800 feet before from according to my friend. I then tried forward facing I/O with the X50 and the 9500ix and the X50 didn't alert untill about 500-600 feet in front of the gun while the 9500ix was getting it around 1000 feet. The beltronics and the cobra almost had no early warning of the I/O ahead, forward or regular facing, my friend said he saw me way before the bel or cobra alerted. My friend said he didn't notice any differece in detection (X50 , 9500IX) with POP on.
On a side note, with the bushnell at almost point blank range, the bel and cobra would only alert to K band when I held down the trigger for atleast 2 seconds and would never pick up any quick trigger pulls, only the X50 and the 9500ix would pick up the quick trigger pulls which is bad because I can easily get a speed reading with a quick trigger pull.
