Local craigslist seller is looking for $700 for a used Passport Sr7. Arent these pretty much obsolete since the Ci? And is it worth anywhere hear $700 used?

I don't know.....
I don't think it's obsolete - it still is a very potent radar detector.....it's just that the 9500ci is "the next step up," as well as an evolutionary progression (more like jump).
Is the price "worth it?"
More than likely, by the product being on Craigslist, the guy's looking to get a good take, so the price is, certainly, high (considering that a brand-new SR7, from Escort, direct, is $799) - but he's also very likely to bargain, if there's no "firm" on the price quote.
I have an SR7 and it's a good detector but not $700 good. It's an 8500 you can install discretely plus this one is used. Because of the 9500i I think previous value is not relevant to this SR7s price. It's worth the cost of a used 8500 + the added value of discrete installation. Whatever that's worth to you. To me it's worth a lot to others maybe not that much. I think the price should be more around $500. If it has a ZR3 upgrade then maybe $700.

No, thats a bad price. I'm only trying to get $650 for my SR7 plus ZR3 shifters (SRX).
why dont u take that $700 and buy an LI? u already have a v1?
I got a used SRX for $300 in 2006, before that I didn't realize the RX75/RX75+ were 2 diff models and got a brand new RX75(which is beltronics version of the sr7 minus shifters) in 2006 before the SRX for $300 as well.. so $700 used would def. not be a good buy.
