Auto mode

I see most of you use Highway on your 8500 x50's. Why doesen't anyone uses Auto? Less sensitive? Thanks. I'm still learning.

Just a personal choice amongst us. I dont see any X band around my daily route, therefore, I disabled it and use HWY. Any other mode would work in this situation since the only band affected on City and Auto is X.

If going to any unknown location I would enable X and still use HWY since it is the strongest mode in its detecting capabilities.

I guess if you know X band is being used around you, its your choice to either use Auto or even City with a lower X band setting.

Highway is the most sensitive mode and Auto can be filtering X band too much if theres X band around. Highway has more response than Auto too. Ill say that playing with Highway and City is the best way to use your X50.

It is a double post, and that is my fault. Sorry. I was curious why the Auto function wasn't used often, since Escort advertises it as the hot ticket. I wanted to get you experts opinion on why nobody seems to run Auto. Now I think I know. The Highway mode is more sensitive to instant on, I believe. Thanks for your patientce with a nebbie. (don't want any mor tickets)
