    Default X50 8500 r5

Hey everybody..Im new here and since owning my X50 in just now getting into the whole programming think and tring to understand it. Im in the DFW area and have been happy with it over the last 2yrs but I thought I would sell it and get the 9500ix. Just looking for opinions on whats the best set up for me with the X50 (I turned X off and have been leaving it on auto) and whats the gain with the 9500ix??

    Thanks

As compared to your X50, the 9500ix will have slightly less off axis sensitivity, but you will see a definite improvement on straight ahead sensitivity. The 9500ix will also learn false alerts, then eventually, once they're all stored, the 9500ix will be dead silent, unless it's a real threat. The 9500ix also has a RLC and speed camera database. The 9500ix will be dead silent when driving through any shopping center.

As with the X50 having R5...is there a perferred model number of the 9500ix?? Im still a little bit worried about getting rid of the 8500 since it has saved me so many times but I can tell they are tracking me when Im running it..also I cleared the memory on the 8500 to see what revision I had and it was set on default anyway but after locking X it seems to pick up much more false K's than it did before. Is there a reason or is it just me??

Don't get rid of the X50, a proper back-up detector is a true thing of beauty. The Rev.5 is champ, keep it. Its ramp-up is unmatched in the RD world.

Unmatched in the Belscort world but not in the Valentine One world where everything is perfect.

Haha, figures you would say that, but sorry... own both for a couple years and come back and hop in on the ramp-up details.

I will say though the V1 is runner-up for sure.

Airmoore is right. Keep the X50 Rev 5 which is a very good revision # for the X50. In terms of ramp up, the X50 is first, and the V1 is 2nd. Now in terms of detection, both the X50 and V1 are very good rd's. I like the off axis k band detection of the X50 Rev 3 that I have. And of course the laser sensitivity of the V1 which I have picked up laser in a semi truck while using. I do like the 9500i better than the 9500ix, but that's my personal thoughts and nothing against 9500ix users.

Couldn't agree more. My old X50 REV 5 is comparable to my V1, the ramp up is just as smooth as it gets. It's been 3 years and never had to send it in for repairs.
