I think I'm going to pick up my old man a x50 in blue. He's used a standard 8500 since they were released (RED), and as much as I wanted to give him my 9500i, I needed the $400 I sold it for. He's happy with the 8500, and told me he wouldnt use the GPS of a 9500 anyway (this was even before I witnessed lockouts and was a fan of it)...but if I'm not mistaken...I think the standard 8500 to x50 was like a 50% increase on sensitivity right? I read that somewhere.
My question is, if I buy a used one...which S/N or REV should I be looking for that had the extremely accurate linear rampup (unlike the x50's and 9500's that are sold now) which are way too hyper. I always loved my x50's but ran into some problems with them locking up for some reason (most likely something in my vehicle).
