passport 8500 x50

I have 2008 honda accord coupe and i'm wondering is it ok to mount my x50 way on top so it is behind the blue tint??? will this reduce the range on my radar?

right now i have it below the blue tint line but it would look nicer and cleaner if it is on top more.

what do you guys thiknk

Is the tint metallic? If not then you can mount it behind the tint strip no problem.

its just blue tint no metalic stuff its not black dotted.

so its ok?

Yes, radar reception will not be impacted. Actually the higher the better in most peoples eyes for RD's and detecting radar.

Laser detection will suffer, but for the most part (with any RD in any location) that is just a ticket notifier.

Id bet over 95% of the owners who have their RD's hardwired on this site have it high... by the RVM, behind factory (non-metallic tint).
