    Exclamation 9500ix problem???

I just bought 9500ix and it's super quiet. But last night i was on the highway and there was a LEO on the shoulder and he had a radar gun or laser and he was standing outside of his car shooting cars. It was alittle bit rainy too. I have my 9500ix mounted on the windshield in the middle. I got no alert at all. You guys might be thinking he might not have it on. But i have a gut feeling it was on because the LEO was standing ot in the rain. I got no alert.

    What's wrong???

But same night i was driving in the city and i got a k alert and first i thought false alarm but i braked to PSL and 1/4 mile around the curve there was a LEO in the parking alot. 9500ix saved my ass big time.

Its a radar detector not a cop detector... sorry had to say it.

My guess is he was using laser and didn't shoot you, its also extremely hard to pick up laser let alone in the rain. No reason to use radar out side of the car but laser you would.

Almost assuredly laser. Your 9500ix will not protect your from laser. You need a laser jammer for proper defense against laser.

You were not the target, and therefore no alert. Laser does not scatter like radar does. I bet you were doing the speed limit.

If he was standing outside of his cruiser in the "RAIN" shooting you it was most likely lidar. Even though it was raining he was probably using "weather mode." Which is Quite hardcore, but one dedicated trooper. That is why your radar detector didn't alert you. A Radar detector will not save you from a laser speed trap, and you have just witnessed this statment first hand.

You need need to keep in mind that beam is only 3ft wide at 1000ft. If he shoots you in the bumper and you don't have jammers your done!

Weather you have a 500 dollar radar detector or not.

You should get an alert, but its just no guarantee.

Laser is deadly without a jammer, alert or not, who cares... you just know to pull over sooner with an RD alerting you to laser?

I have driven through many laser traps, with the best RDs and laser jammers on the planet and not gotten an alert.

LEOs target cars that are driving faster then others, if you were doing the PSL you probably didnt get targeted.
