So was traveling the back roads of Texas coming back from the Aggie victory over ISU. Before turning on the target road, my detector alerts - most likely a bounce off of the grain storage on the farm to my left. Turn on the FM road and detector goes nuts, then goes away for a few seconds and comes back - figured instant on. See the next car come towards me and figured undercover, wrong! Continue going and nothing except farmland all around me. All that was ahead was a farm house. Well get up to the farm house (which is occupied) and right next to the house, very well hidden , was a county LEO. He was right next to the house with the occupants' cars hiding him but he had a straight line of site of the road. W/O a detector I was for toast, normally double digits over PSL on this untraveled road. This has been the best save from my ix which have been few and far between unlike my old 9500i that I traded "up". I miss its sensitivity but can't live without the RLC database.
Noticed a typo in my thread headline, 34.7 - for the AR grammar nazis.
