Doesn't look like it integrates with any of Escort's other products.

800.00!!!! Are they on crack.. Why would a rd company put out a product that you can't interface with.

You all are assuming that new RD models aren't on the way as well.

$799 for that and when they add RD/LJ stuff it will be $1299. I wouldnt waste my cash...it could be spent on a better systems.

Remember too - this could be the 9500i of their mirrors. The better one will come out in another couple of months.

Why is it that, whenever I see your avatar, for some reason I think of chocolate cake icing?

Interesting place to locate a GPS display.....

That really gets your eyes *way* off the road.

    How do I know?

I've got a toddler, and she's in the back passenger's seat, in a Britax Marathon.

I know from routinely checking-in on her, through the various iterations of "baby mirrors" that I've had in my vehicle, that in order to see any details in that area, it takes ones eyes both off the primary roadway as well as requires that one's eyes re-focus.

It's not a great place for a visual display.

And at the same time, assuming that the mirror is a standard mirror and not a covex mirror, it would then stand to-reason that the mirror would be angled towards the driver, thus making passenger access and visualization more difficult.

In so far as the product that's been introduced, as it stands now, I think it is an interesting idea, but IMveryHO, that's awful execution.
